When a major trade fair in Düsseldorf faced the challenge of keeping food and drinks perfectly chilled for thousands of visitors, TITAN Germany stepped in with a whole fleet of high-tech refrigerated containers.
THE CHALLENGE
A good trade fair is designed to attract large crowds – and large crowds mean catering .
Since trade fair venues often lack the infrastructure needed to keep food and drinks chilled, they typically rely on partners like TITAN to provide refrigerated containers.
TITAN Germany’s client knew that the demand for food and drinks would be high at a major print media event and turned to us for support.
As a long-standing TITAN client, they approached us because they knew they could rely on our excellent service – and because we provide the best solutions for cold storage
The trade fair, however, required special planning: We had to deliver 15 20-foot containers in one day .
THE SOLUTION
As with many large TITAN customer orders, logistics played a key role in booking the trade fairs.
Since Düsseldorf is approximately 50 km from the Dutch border, the TITAN Germany team enlisted the support of their Dutch colleagues.
The customer required 15 ArcticStores for two months ; these were procured and delivered using a combination of Hiab vehicles and extra-long low loaders, each carrying two 20-foot containers.
All 15 containers were delivered to the exhibition grounds and positioned in one day as requested .
ArcticStores are modular and can be connected to form an open Arctic SuperStore upon request.
However, the customer did not require such a solution, and all 15 ArcticStores were operated as standalone units
Together, they offered an impressive 15,000 cubic feet, or nearly 425 m³, of storage space .
THE BOTTOM LINE
ArcticStores has once again proven to be the ideal solution for external catering at a large-scale event . It’s no wonder they are used to chill food and beverages at the Austrian Grand Prix, the Roskilde Music Festival in Denmark, Copenhagen’s largest street festival in Denmark, and countless other events.
Whether you need to freeze goods at temperatures as low as -40°C or keep them chilled at a fresh 2-3°C, ArcticStores are perfectly suited for the task.
They can even keep products warm , up to 45°C. However, this type of heat is more suitable for industrial customers who want to test the behavior of components at temperatures representative of a hot summer day.
